The NRHM National Rural Health Mission has been in operation since June 2005 in Odisha, which has been extended up to 2017. It aims to improve access of rural people especially poor women & children to equitable affordable accountable and effective primary health care. It aims at effective integration of health concerns with determinants of health like sanitation& hygiene, nutrition & save drinking water through a district plan for health.The National Rural Health Mission has issued the official notification of Employment Recruitment for the post of (23) Ophthalmic Assistant &Ophthalmic Surgeon Posts.Applications in the prescribed from are Invited for Eligible Candidates. The Applicants for the following National Rural Health Mission. Important dates :
Date of Interview : 30th & 31st January 2015.
Age limit :The Age limit between Lower age limit for applicants is 21 years and upper age limit is 65 years as on 01.01.2015.
However for MBBS background the upper age limit is 68 years.
Probation Period : The Following post under National Health Mission, Odisha on contractual basic for a period of 11(eleven) months

Essential Qualification:

| Ophthalmic Assistant (NPCB) | Two years diploma course in Optometry or trained as Ophthalmic Assistant in any of the recognized Govt. Hospitals/ Private Institute. |
