Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B.Lib. & I.Sc.) Or Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib. & I.Sc.) From any recognized University.
- In case of candidates having degree of bachelor Library and information Science (B.Lib. & I.Sc.) Certificate or Diploma in Computer shall be essential.
- Candidate who qualified in TET conducted for Post Graduate Teachers are only eligible to apply for the post of Post Graduate Teacher.
- The Minimum Educational and Professional Qualification shall be required for the post of Post Graduate Teacher as follows.
- MA/M.Sc/M.Com with 50% marks in relevant subject with B.T./B.Ed degree from any recognized University.
Experience:
Experience as a Librarian or Asstt. Librarian in any Government or Semi Government office/Institution is preferable.
Age Limit:
- The candidates’ age limit is Maximum 21 to 38 years of age on 01/01/2016. The upper limit age may be relaxed for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other category of candidates as per prevailing Government Rules.
- Candidates’ belongings to Schedule Caste and Scheduled Tribes will get relaxation of age up to 5 years as per the Assam Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribes.
Pay Scale:
The Institute is fixed for the Candidates basic pay is Rs. 8,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- PM, PB-3 and Grade Pay of Rs. 4300/- PM plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Selection Procedure:
The candidate’s selection will be on the basis of
