Education Qualifications :
Candidates must possess Matriculation/10th Standard Pass from recognized State/Central Board.
Age Preference :
candidates must be minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.07.2016.Age relaxation of SC/ST-5 years, OBC –3 years, ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir-5 years, Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from husband but not remarried (UR)- 2 years acceptable.
Selection Process :
Recruitment will be made based on the performance of the eligible applicants in a Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Measurement Test, document verification.
Syllabus – written Examination - OMR based Answer Sheets/multiple choice objective type questions will comprise of 120 marks
General Awareness- 50 questions
Arithmetic – 35 questions
General Intelligence and Reasoning-35 questions
NOTE :
- The NCC/sports certificate having candidates get bonus marks
- The candidates will have to undergo an initial training in any one of the RPF/RPSF training centre or any other such institution as decided by the Railway Administration in the event of their selection.
