SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has issued Lower Division Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination-2016 reserved for regularly appointed Group-C Staff Central Secretariat Clerical Service, Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service, Central Passport Organisation in Ministry of External Affairs, Central Vigilance Commission Clerical Service, Ministry of Railway (Railway Board) and Ministry of Commerce and Industry (DGS&D).eligible employees will be considered for appointment in respective vacancies in the cadres and candidate serving at an Indian Mission abroad will have to appear in this examination from any of the Examination Centre.Candidates may Apply through Online on before 12.02.2016.Further details indicated on below..
Important Dates :
Last date for Application submission : 12th February 2016.
Last date for Application submission : 18th February 2016 (Remote Areas).
Date of Examination : 27th March 2016.
Vacancy Details :
Total number of posts to be filled up on the basis of this examination will be as per the vacancies to be intimated to the Commission by each of the Cadre Authority.
Education Qualifications :
- 10+2th Standard in any Group subjects from recognized Board.
- Must be three years regular service as a Group-C employee with Grade Pay of Rs.1800/-
Age Preference :
Candidates age should be not less than 45 years as on 01.01.2016.Upper age limit is five years for SC/ST categories.
Selection Process :
A. Written Exmination – consists of
- Paper-I Short Essay (Hindi or English)-100 marks/90 minutes
- Paper-II -Language (General English or Saamanya Hindi)-50 questions/50 marks, General Knowledge (English or Hindi)- 50 questions/50 marks (120 minutes).
B.Type writing test – 35 words/min in English, 30 words/min in Hindi langauage
NOTE :
- The Commission has decided thst in Paper-II will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The Examination time period is extend up to 30 minutes for Visually Handicapped & Cerebral Palsy suffering Candidates
